The program is informative. I’ve learned a lot already and I’m only in my first semester. I attended two interprofessional (IPE) events where I’ve had to apply my learned knowledge and skills to fake patient scenarios. Since I had only been in the program for 1-2 weeks, this was very anxiety-inducing and embarrassing because I felt like I had no idea what to do or expect. For future graduate students coming into the program, I hope that they’ll have better experiences than I did with those events.

I just graduated with my B.S. in English Education and B.A. in English and am ready to join the education field. Counseling is something I wanted to study, so I can learn how to be a better student advocate, how to make sure students' voices are heard, and how to provide them with everything they need to succeed. I have no quite started the program yet as it starts in the fall, but this is something I am passionate about, developing personal growth within young people.

East Carolina University provided an extremely accepting and challenging program through the Masters of Chemistry department. I learned how to collaborate within the department as well as work with the Anthropology department on my research project. I learned how to operate high-end instruments such as the Liquid Chromatography- Mass Spectrometry analysis instrument as well as many other great analytical equipment and how to analyze the results. Beyond the data collection, I also learned how to apply this information and discuss results in a professional manner that can translate to useful skills in the professional industry.
